HC Deb 12 April 1994 vol 241 c154W
Mr. Kevin Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many new applications for invalidity benefit have been(a) successful and (b) unsuccessful in the Doncaster district in each of the last 12 months.

Mr. Hague

The information is not readily available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.

Mr. Bradley

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if the transitional arrangements for people who are receiving invalidity benefit will also apply to people who do not receive benefit but have an underlying entitlement to invalidity benefit at the point of change.

Mr. Hague

There will be transitional arrangements for those people entitled to invalidity benefit when it is replaced by incapacity benefit in April 1995. The arrangements will apply to people entitled to, but not receiving, invalidity benefit at the point of change.
