§ Sir John WheelerIn Northern Ireland, the possession of any firearm, including a shotgun, requires a firearm certificate. In 1993, the total sum received for firearm certificates was £1,118,484.
It would not be possible to provide a separate figure for the cost of those firearm certificates relating solely to shotguns without incurring disproportionate cost.
