Member for Newham, South of 30 March, Official Report, column 921.
§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryThe undertakings in the social field announced by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister in his statement of 29 March were oral assurances and are not recorded in a document. They will not therefore be incorporated, in whole or in part, in the draft treaty. The additional confirmation from the Commission to which my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary referred in his oral answer on 30 March took the form of contacts between his office and the office of Mr. Delors.
