To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will ask Parliament to ammend article 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 to make inapplicable, in the United Kingdom, without consent of Parliament, any decision of the EEC to which the United Kingdom is opposed.

No. To amend article 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in this manner would put the United Kingdom in breach of its international treaty obligations.
