To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, pursuant to the answer of 7 March,Official Report, columns 38-40, what was the total cost of the refurbishment to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office building at King Charles street, London SW1.

Between 1978 and the planned completion date in early 1997, the estimated total cost at today's prices is £100 million.
