What is the annual spending of the Department for Education on commissioned research.

Baroness Blatch

The department has an annual policy evaluation programme (PEP) research budget currently in the region of £1 million, (for 1993—94 it was £1.036 million). It is used to commission educational research projects in support of DFE's development and evaluation of educational policies.
