HC Deb 29 October 1993 vol 230 c820W
Mr. Dafis

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what estimate he has of the number of houses in Wales affected by dampness, condensation, mould growth or a combination of these.

Mr. Gwilym Jones

Estimates from the 1986 Welsh House Conditions Survey show that, 22,500 households had serious mould, 95,700 had rising damp, 150,400 had penetrating damp: no information is available on the number of households with condensation or those with any combination of these factors.
