To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many families receive family credit in Wales; and what is this figure expressed as a percentage of all those families eligible for family credit in Wales.

At 30 April 1993, there were an estimated 30,000 claimants in receipt of family credit in Wales. No figures are available for the number of families eligible for family credit.
