§ Mr. YeoBreaches of compliance should come to the attention of the local authority on which the water company has failed to serve, within the required period, notice of its failure to reconnect, in the time specified, the service pipe to a house which it has earlier disconnected. Numbers of disconnections notified to local authorities under section 63(1) of the Act, broken down by local authority district, are not available centrally.
The latest figures for domestic disconnections in the financial year 1992–93 in the area of each OFWAT 532W customer service committee region is set out in the following table. Each entry covers one of the privatised water and sewerage undertakers, together with figures for the water supply companies operating within that area.
