§ Dr. MawhinneyA prescription charge is payable in respect of each quantity of a drug or appliance dispensed, unless the patient is entitled to charge exemption or remission. Prempak C contains two separate preparations differentiated by colour and two prescription charges are, therefore, due when these items are dispensed. The fact that for convenience and, as an aid to patient compliance, the two preparations are supplied in one pack does not alter the patient's liability for prescription charges. We have no plans to change these arrangements.
