To ask the Secretary of State for Health what latest conveniently available statistics she has on the shortage of donor organs for transplant.

Mr. Sackville

Increasing the supply of donor organs is a Government priority. The table shows the numbers of organs transplanted in 1992 and the numbers of patients awaiting organ transplants at 31 August 1993.
