To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what has been the number of people killed in farm accidents in England and Wales in each of the last five years.

Deaths occuring on farms cannot be separately identified. The fatal accidents in agriculture and horticulture reported to the enforcement authorities in England and Wales under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrencies Regulations 1985 are set out in the table.
