§ Mr. SproatThe task force was established by the Department of Health and English Heritage in autumn 1992 to provide a forum to identify and assist in resolving problems concerning historic buildings and conservation matters in the NHS. It has reviewed a number of specific cases, commissioned the preparation of good practice guidance for NHS managers in respect of both listed hospitals that will continue in use, and those that will close, and is embarking on a review of the listing of redundant NHS institutions.
