HC Deb 25 October 1993 vol 230 c501W
Ms Primarolo

To ask the Secretary of State for Health which units in this country provide psychiatric services for people with hearing loss; and what plans she has to continue supraregional funding for these units.

Mr. Bowis

Mental health services for deaf people are provided at Springfield hospital, London, Prestwich hospital, Manchester and Queen Elizabeth psychiatric hospital, Birmingham. The units at Springfield and Prestwich hospitals have received supraregional funding for seven years through to 1994 to give the units time to establish referral patterns for subsequent years.
