What action they have taken to fund the provision of a database and studies of injuries sustained from radiotherapy treatment following breast cancer surgery.
§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)Department of Health officials have held discussions with the Royal College of Radiologists. We have indicated our interest in auditing the outcome of treatment for cancer, and have invited the College to submit a proposal which would include the collection of data and the development of a database. A proposal has been received and is being actively considered.
