To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he last met representatives of the Northern Ireland Council of Voluntary Organisations to discuss the role of voluntary organisations in the determination of the distribution of European Community structural funds; and if he will make a statement.

On 1 February my right hon. and learned Friend discussed with representatives of the council a range of issues, including the next round of EC structural funds, and on 16 June gave the opening address at a conference organised by NICVA on "The Voluntary Sector and Europe". My own discussions with the Council on 30 September also covered structural funds issues.
