To ask the Secretary of State for Health what advice has been issued by her Department to NHS trusts regarding the need for those appointed as chief executive to have experience of working in the national health service.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will list, by wave, the end of year financial position of each self-governing trust for 1992–93.

§ Mr. Sackville
This information is contained in the 1992–93 annual accounts of national health service trusts. We are assembling and summarising these accounts in accordance with statutory deadlines. Comprehensive information will be available at the end of November 1993.
