HC Deb 21 October 1993 vol 230 c318W
8. Mr. Ingram

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what representations he has received from medical practitioners in Northern Ireland on the closure of hospitals in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Ancram

Several GPs have written to the Department of Health and Social Services about particular hospitals—for example, the Royal Victoria hospital, Belfast, the Moyle hospital, Larne and the maternity unit at Tyrone county hospital, Omagh. The views of 43 GPs in the Downpatrick area about hospital services there were included in a report which was sent to the Department by the Downpatrick Community Health Committee.
