§ Mr. AncramAn estimated 8,070 students will enter full-time higher education in Northern Ireland institutions in 1993–94. This represents an estimated increase of 2 per cent. on 1992–93 and a 41 per cent. increase since 1988–89. Information is not yet available on the numbers of part-time students, postgraduate students, or those commencing higher education courses outside Northern Ireland.
