Mr. Andrew Smith

To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will list for each financial year since 1990–91 his Department's expenditure on press and public relations, together with the budget for those items for 1993–94 and 1994–95.

The figures for Department of Education expenditure on press and publicity, including staff costs and relevant administrative expenditure, for the financial years 1990–91 to 1993–94 are given in the table. Figures for 1994–95 have not yet been agreed. The Department does not incur expenditure on public relations.
