To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will review the announced split between the postgraduate and undergraduate access funds allocated in England for 1993–94, and if he will make a statement.

Further to my announcement on 14 June,Official Report column 421, at the request of the Higher Education Funding Council for England, I have agreed a reapportionment of the £18.98 million available in access funds for distribution to institutions in England. The revised allocations, which take account of the relatively greater increase in undergraduate student numbers, areas follows:
