HL Deb 19 October 1993 vol 549 c43WA
Lord Avebury

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will place in the Library a copy of the full 75-page report of the panel of inquiry established by the United Nations Secretary General to investigate the massacre of nearly 600 displaced persons which occurred near Harbel, Liberia, on the night of 5th/6th June 1993.

Baroness Chalker of Wallasey

We understand that the UN does not intend to make public the full version of this report, in order to protect the identity of eyewitnesses. A summary of the panel's findings has, however, been released and copies of this have been placed in the Libraries of the House.
