HC Deb 18 October 1993 vol 230 c92W
Mr. Barnes

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what representations he has received in the past three months concerning the Widgery inquiry into Bloody Sunday; and if he will make a statement.

Sir Patrick Mayhew

I have received none.

The Government have stated and continue to believe that it would not be right, after a tribunal of inquiry has reported, to set in train a further examination of events that occured 21 years ago.
