§ Mr. BaldryCopies of the responses to the draft planning guidance on gipsy sites are available for public inspection in the Library of my Department. A list of respondents has been placed in the Library of the House. We are not proposing to publish an analysis of responses.
A joint DOE/Welsh Office circular will be published as soon as the views of respondents have been fully considered. The circular will guide local planning authorities in assessing gipsies' accommodation needs in their areas, making suitable policies in their development plans, and determining applications for gipsy sites.

§ Mr. BaldryOur proposals for reform of the Caravan Sites Act 1968, which were set out in the answer I gave to my right hon. Friend the Member for Woking (Sir C. Onslow) on 31 March,Official Report, column 291, were prepared in close consultation with other interested Government Departments. We will continue to liaise closely with these Departments and, in particular, when we bring forward legislation to implement these proposals.
