§ Mr. Jack[holding answer 27 July 1993]: Raw beet sugar is not generally traded. Raw cane sugar is imported at about the intervention price for raw sugar, which was 439.40 ecu per tonne for 1992–93—equivalent to £412 at current exchange rates.
