To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what financial arrangements for further salary payments ensue when a Minister resigns or is sacked.

Mr. Dorrell

When a Minister leaves office for whatever reason, he is entitled to a severance payment, the terms of which are governed by the Ministerial and other Pensions and Salaries Act 1991.
