Mr. Ainger

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is she will make it her policy to revoke or suspend British fishing licences on vessels found guilty in British or Irish courts of having a secret fish room, using undersized mesh nets, landing undersize fish or related offences.

Mr. Jack

Powers to revoke or suspend fishing licences under the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1992 can be used only in respect of breaches of licence conditions, for example, overfishing, or the failure to carry a logbook. The infringements mentioned in the question would not breach the conditions in any existing UK licences.
