§ Mr. SpearingTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he expects a publication of consolidated text of the treaty on European union incorporating all the amendments, which it, and other treaties, have made to the treaty of Rome and the treaties establishing the coal and steel, and Euratom communities respectively; and if he knows of any impediment to such a document being printed and published by Her Majesty's Government in the Command series prior to October.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydA consolidated text of the treaty of Rome incorporating the amendments which would be made by the treaty on European union was published in theOfficial Journal of the European Communities (C 224 Vol. 35) on 31 August 1992. It has been available through HMSO outlets since that time. There are no plans, either by the European Community or by ourselves, to produce similar consolidated texts of the treaties establishing the European coal and steel and Euratom communities in advance of entry into force of the treaty on European union.
