Which members of the House of Lords will, on 1st August 1993, be holding positions to which they have been appointed by the Secretary of State for Scotland, and what will be their salaries.

The information below covers the Scottish Office bodies listed in the Cabinet Office publication Public Bodies. The information does not include appointments as Justices of the Peace or appointments to Children's Panels, details of which are not held centrally and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.

The following members of the House of Lords held appointment at 1 August 1993: Lord Macfarlane of Bearsden as a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Galleries of Scotland; the right honourable Lord Cameron of Lochbroom as a member of the Edinburgh New Town Conservation Committee; the Lord Goold as a member of the Scottish Hospital Endowment Research Trust; Viscount Thurso as a member of the Central Advisory Committee on Justices of the Peace (Scotland) and the Earl of Crawford and Balcarres as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Library of Scotland. All these appointments are unsalaried.
