asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will consider establishing a department of state for the affairs of ex-Servicemen and women.

1992 under the provisions of the European Commission's Budget (Chapter B1-17) they will state the total expenditure made to each of the seven member states—Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Greece and Portugal; and whether they will provide an analysis of such expenditure showing the amounts paid to each of the seven member states under B1-170 (refunds on tobacco), B1-171 (premiums on tobacco), B1-172 (intervention storage on tobacco) B1-179 (other intervention for tobacco)—together comprised in the total of ecu 1,232,990,351.08 and (£949,402,300) as per Com (93)400-EN of 15th June 1993.
