§ The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Chalker of Wallasey)The Council and Commission adopted 1,526 regulations and 122 directives in 1992. There are no available statistics identifying which of those measures were adopted on a legal basis requiring qualified majority voting as opposed to unanimity. I can, however, confirm that the United Kingdom was not outvoted in any case where a measure was adopted by a qualified majority in 1992.
