§ Miss WiddecombeThe dependent territories quota scheme will be phased out by 1995. Discussions are512W continuing between Employment Department officials and other Government Departments about how St. Helenians might be helped to benefit from the training and work expereience provisions of the work permit scheme.
Applications for work permits for St. Helenians outside the quota arrangements will continue to be considered against the normal work permit scheme criteria.
