HL Deb 30 November 1993 vol 550 cc24-5WA
Lord Bruce of Donington

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are satisfied that all member states to whom Council Regulation (EEC) 359/79 (statistical surveys of certain vine growing areas) applies have been complying with the regulation; and whether they have taken appropriate action when considering draft Community budgets relating to wine sector support, if it has been shown that some member states are not complying with the regulation.

Earl Howe

It is for the EC Commission to satisfy itself that member states carry out their obligations under Regulation 357/79. As far as the Government know, all other member states are in fact complying.
