To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what steps the Government are taking to improve the employment prospects for people aged 50 years and above.

With inflation and interest rates lower than for many years, our economic policies are improving employment prospects for everyone. For older people, building on the work of my advisory group, I recently launched "Getting On"—a drive to combat ageism in the workplace and encourage employers to recognise the skills, experience and commitment older people offer.
