Total numbers and values of grants paid to private owners and tenants under the Housing Act 1985, the previous grants system, is shown in table 7.2. Similar information about activity under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, the present grants system, is shown in tables 7.3, 7.4 and 7.5. Information about the sector 495W receiving renovation and disabled facilities grants is shown in table 7.8. Most common parts grants and all houses in multiple occupation grants will be for tenanted properties.
