§ Mr. RaynsfordTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what he expects to be the average percentage housing association grant payable in England in(a) 1993–94 and (b) 1994–95.
§ Sir George YoungThe average housing association grant rate set for:
- (a) 1993–94 was 67 per cent.; and
- (b) 1994–95 is 62 per cent.
The average actually paid to associations will not be known until after the end of the financial year in question. However, I would expect that, as in 1992–93, the average will be lower than that set, as a result of efficiency gains and associations' willingness to contribute to developments from their own resources.
