To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether she has discussed with the Secretary of State for the Environment the results of the countryside survey 1990 and the implications of these results for his Department.

I have regular contact with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State. The results of the survey will be taken fully into account in the continuing development of our policies for the countryside.
