§ Dr. MawhinneyThe Department has recently received a report commissioned by the staff side of Whitley committee C in support of their claim for an increase in the level of the national health service sight test fee. This report, which we are now studying, suggests that optometrists' unit costs in 1992 were £18.42 per sight test. The NHS sight test fee was £.12.75 in 1992.
