Mr. Pawsey

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what was the level of employment in the Rugby-Daventry travel-to-work area in 1992 and at the latest available date.

Employment estimates for travelto-work areas are available only from the periodic censuses of employment. The latest estimates are for September 1991 when the total number of employees in employment in the Rugby and Daventry travel-to-work area was 50,600.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many people were in employment, broken down for full time and part time, in(a) April 1989, (b) April 1993 and (c) the latest date for which figures are available.
