§ Mr. Llew Smith
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps have been taken by her Department to implement each of the principles of the Rio declaration on environment and development, agreed at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in June 1992, in so far as they apply to the matters for which her Department has responsibility.

§ Mr. Jack
The Government will shortly publish the United Kingdom's strategy for sustainable development, together with reports on climate change, biodiversity and forestry. This Department is contributing fully to all of these.
