HC Deb 29 November 1993 vol 233 cc300-1W
Mr. Blunkett

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will list for each year since 1989–90 the percentage of women invited for breast screening who attended, by regional health authority.

Mr. Sackville

The breast screening programme is achieving its average uptake target rate of 70 per cent. We do not have central statistics for 1990–91 but unvalidated data are available from the national health service breast screening programme. Validated central figures are currently available only for the year 1991–92. Both are shown in the table.
