HC Deb 25 November 1993 vol 233 c154W
24. Mr. Skinner

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has any plans to increase the number of police officers in Derbyshire.

Mr. Charles Wardle

Derbyshire, in common with all other police authorities, has made an application for extra officers. Decisions on these applications will be made when the level of police funding in 1994–95 has been decided.

Mr. Barnes

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list those who received enbargoed copies of the report by Her Majesty's inspectorate of constabulary on the Derbyshire constabulary prior to its publication on 16 November; and on what dates copies were forwarded to each of the hon. Members representing parliamentary constituencies within Derbyshire.

Mr. Charles Wardle

I understand that in accordance with normal practice, Her Majesty's inspector of constabulary sent embargoed copies of the report to the police authority and the force. Reports by Her Majesty's inspectorate of constabulary are not routinely sent to hon. Members but copies are placed in the Library on the day of publication.
