To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what response he has made to the document, "A False Sense of Security" published by the Children's Society, a copy of which has been sent to him; and what initiatives or policy changes he intends to put forward in response to that report.

§ Mr. Maclean
The second report of The Children's Society's advisory committee on young offenders, "A False Sense of Security", will be launched at a one day conference organised by The Children's Society today, 25 November 1993, at which I shall be giving a key note address. My right hon. and learned Friend and I will be giving careful consideration to the contents of the report.
