§ Dr. MawhinneyWe are fully committed to ensuring equality of opportunity in the national health service both for patients and for staff. We shall shortly be launching a programme of action on employment opportunities in the NHS for our ethnic minority staff and we are also setting up an ethnic health unit to address the ethnic minority community's need for equal access to provision of health services.
