§ Mr. FraserTo ask the Attorney-General if he will publish the guidelines and policy on cautions for juvenile offenders which operate from the Crown Prosecution Service for the Metropolitan police.
§ The Attorney-GeneralCautioning is a matter for the police. The Crown Prosecution Service does not issue guidelines to the police on cautioning, nor would it be appropriate for the CPS to do so.
Guidance to crown prosecutors on the prosecution, or other disposal, of cases involving juvenile offenders is contained in the code for crown prosecutors, which is a public document.
