§ Mr. JackThe Fisheries Department is in the final stages of completing the licensing of fishing vessels of 10 m overall length and under. No prosecutions have so far been taken but as part of their ongoing enforcement responsibilities, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food's sea fisheries inspectorate has made it clear that vessels fishing for profit must be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Sea Fish Licensing Order 1992 (SI 1992/2633) as varied by SIs 1993/188 and 1993/2291.
