§ Mr. Llew Smith
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his answer of 1 November 1993,Official Report, column 64, what is the expected (a) completion date and (b) cost of the contract with NNC Ltd. for Aldermaston.

§ Mr. Aitken
The expected completion date of the contract is April 1996. The costs concerned are commercially confidential.

§ Mr. Llew Smith
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his answer of 1 November 1993,Official Report, column 65, when the sludge solidification plant at Aldermaston is expected to be operational.

§ Mr. Aitken
We expect the plant to be fully operational in 1997.
