HC Deb 04 November 1993 vol 231 c451W
Dr. Godman

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the level of funding for victim support in the current financial year; what plans he has to increase the sum in future financial years; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Stewart

[holding answer 1 November 1993]: Scottish Office funding to the Scottish Association of Victim Support Schemes has risen from £600 in 1984–85 to £764,000 for the current financial year.

Decisions have not yet been made regarding funding for 1994–95 of future years.

These will be taken in the light of competing priorities but in line with the Government's continuing policy to improve services to victims of crime.
