HC Deb 04 November 1993 vol 231 cc467-8W
Mr. Mandelson

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if he will list the fees paid to each financial institution used in each privatisation since 1982;

(2) if he will list the fees paid to each firm of accountants used as advisers in each privatisation since 1982;

(3) what amounts of fees were paid to each advertising agency used in each privatisation since 1982;

(4) if he will list the fees paid to each solicitors partnership and company used as advisers to each privatisation since 1982.

Mr. Dorrell

No. Fees paid to specific firms or individuals are treated as commercially confidential. However, privatisation expenses are open to scrutiny by the National Audit Office and, where the Comptroller and Auditor General publishes a report, the sale costs are summarised within.
