§ Mr. SackvilleThis subject has been reviewed in the literature by Spriet-Poulla and Auriche in a book called Drug Safety published in 1988 by PJB publications. Copies of the relevant information will be placed in the Library. This covers the period from 1961 to 1987. Since that time the principal drugs withdrawn in the United Kingdom on safety grounds have been as follows:
- L-tryptophan (Optimax, Pacitron)
- Metipranolol (Glauline)
- Prostaglandin E2 pessary (Propess)
- Terodiline (Micturin)
- Triazolam (Halcion)
- Temafloxacin (Teflox)
- Human monoclonal anibody (Centoxin)
- Flosequinan (Manoplax)
